Biography Dr. Heyneman was born in San Francisco, CA February 18, 1925, and educated at Harvard University (AB 1950) and Rice Institute (MA 1952, PhD 1954). He was an assistant in biology at Rice (1952-54), asst. professor zoology, UCLA (1954-59), head Dept. Parasitology, US Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU), Cairo (1960-62).
